A cracking Christmas

We feature some great Christmas guest ales that are brewed just for the season along with steaming mulled wine. Mix these with our open fire, cosy surroundings and friendly bar team, and we really have a recipe for a fantastic Christmas.

As always, there’ll be a lively and friendly atmosphere full of festive cheer making it the perfect place for your Christmas celebrations. Our delicious 2 or 3 course menu oozes festive flavours combining all things traditional along with some new and original dishes.

Booking & Pre Order

Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu along with a pre-order no less than 5 days before the date of your meal. A credit card is required at the point of booking to secure your reservation. Your card will not be charged but retained as a guarantee.

You can complete your pre order online (a link will be emailed to you).

Cancellations – Cancellations before the booking date will be charged at £10 per head and cancellations/no shows on the day will be charged at full price.

Large Party Bookings

Our online booking system will allow bookings for a maximum of 8 people. If you would like to book for more than this then please give the pub a call on 0151 342 5535 to discuss your requirements.

Wines & Champagnes

Sunday 24th December (Xmas Eve) – BAR 12-11pm / FOOD 12-8pm

Monday 25th December (Xmas Day) – BAR 11:30am-3pm / NO FOOD

Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – BAR 12-11pm / FOOD 12-8pm

Wednesday 27th to Saturday 30th December – OPEN AS USUAL

Sunday 31st December (New Years Eve) – BAR 12-1am with live music from 9pm (ticket required from 7pm) / FOOD 12-9pm
