We don't have a set Christmas menu as such but instead will have lots of yummy festive specials on our every day menu throughout December for you to choose from.
To start to get you in the Christmas mood we thought we'd tease you with our special festive dishes that will be appearing on our menu come December alongside your pub favourites:
Starters
Panko crusted black pudding, soft poached hens’ egg, hollandaise and dressed watercress
Goats‘ cheese & chive bon bons with spiced pear chutney, chicory and walnut salad (v)
Cider and white onion soup with gruyere cheese & apple croute (v, gfo)
Hot smoked salmon & crayfish salad, horseradish cream with lime vinaigrette (gf)
Duck liver & Cointreau paté, toasted croutes, with black cherry compôte (gfo)
Mains
Traditional roast turkey crown, pancetta wrapped chestnut, cranberry & Bramley apple stuffing, garlic & rosemary roasted potatoes, honey roasted parsnips and carrots, sprouts and pancetta crumb, with turkey pan gravy (gfo)
Slow braised ox cheek in Guinness with creamed leeks, tender stem broccoli, buttered fondant potato and redcurrant sauce (gf)
Oven baked chicken supreme in mushroom butter, wilted savoy cabbage, crispy potato & sage terrine, tarragon cream sauce, honey roasted carrot (gf)
‘Parsnip, sage & chestnut nut roast, curried butternut squash purée, garlic & herb roasted potatoes, tenderstem broccoli and parsnip crisps (v, vg)
Pan fried seabass with chargrilled fennel, prawn & dill butter, Swiss chard and crushed parsley potatoes (gf)
Desserts
Traditional luxury Christmas pudding, with winter fruits and warm vanilla brandy sauce
Classic glazed lemon tart with crushed meringue and raspberry sorbet
Poached pear in cider & cinnamon syrup, dried fruit compôte and champagne sorbet (vg)
Toasted Belgian waffle, caramelised banana, salted caramel ice cream and chocolate sauce

Cropwell Bishop blue stilton, Snowdonia Black Bomber mature cheddar,

Large Party Bookings

Wines & Champagnes
We will happily suggest some options for wines and champagnes if you would like to organise these in advance of your party, please just ask if you want some help choosing!
