Christmas is a time to relax, have fun and catch up with friends and family, so why not do all of this over a delicious meal? With our festive guest ales, mulled wine and christmas treats, the Jug really does get that Christmas sparkle in the atmosphere!
Our 3 course Christmas menu has been carefully created by our talented team of chefs to include some new and exciting dishes alongside the traditional Christmas favourites.
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 30th November to Friday 21st December 2018 alongside our normal menu.
Cointreau infused duck liver paté with herb baked focaccia, star anise plum chutney and candied orange salad (gfo)
White bean, parsnip & truffle cream soup served with crispy sage, crusty harvest bloomer bread and butter (v,gfo)
Braised ham hock & pistachio terrine with homemade cauliflower, silver skin onion and mustard piccalilli with a pancetta crisp and sourdough croutes (gfo)
Steamed Menai mussels with mulled cider and smoky bacon sauce served with baked ciabatta (gfo)
Goats cheese, roasted chesnut and shallot tart topped with rocket and a mushroom & madeira glaze (v)
Traditional roast turkey crown served with chestnut & sage stuffing, pigs in blankets and pan roasted gravy (gfo)
Slow braised Feather blade of beef in a juniper and shallot sauce served with tenderstem broccoli and port pickled red cabbage (gf)
Bourbon glazed pork belly with crispy crackling, creamed leeks & savoy cabbage, carrot purée, cinnamon & apple chutney and a red wine jus (gfo)
Pan fried sea bass fillet served on a pumpkin and asparagus risotto with lemon buttered samphire (gf)
– All above mains are served with duck fat roast potatoes, carrots, green beans and buttered sprouts with bacon
Thyme roasted butternut squash and spinach gnocchi in a creamy brandy & butter sauce with crumbled stilton and toasted walnuts (v)
Traditional Christmas pudding with vanilla pod and brandy sauce
Dark chocolate and salted caramel tart with ‘Cheshire Farm’ Ferrero Rocher ice cream, topped with dehydrated raspberries
Lemoncello mousse with candied citrus fruit, mint syrup and homemade shortbread (gfo)
Pear and almond frangipane served with a blackberry purée and amaretto cream
Selection of cheese and biscuits with red onion chutney, grapes, apple and celery

Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu along with a pre-order no less than 14 days before dining.
