Join us at The Jug & Bottle this December for a fantastic festive celebration. Christmas is a time to relax, have fun and catch up with friends and family, so why not do all of this over a delicious meal? With our festive guest ales, mulled wine and christmas treats, the Jug really does get that Christmas sparkle in the atmosphere!
Our 3 course Christmas menu has been carefully created to include some new and exciting dishes alongside the traditional Christmas favourites.
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 29th November to Saturday 21st December 2019 alongside our normal menu.
Brandy infused duck liver paté with a caramelised orange & watercress salad, rosemary & thyme focaccia croutes and a plum and star anise chutney (gfo)
Parsnip, cannellini bean & cumin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds with Henllan harvester bloomer bread & butter (v,gfo)
Slow cooked rabbit, pork & pistachio terrine with a homemade cauliflower, silver skin onion, mustard & apple cider piccalilli and crispy crackling bites (gf)
Steamed Menai mussels with smoky bacon, spring onion & chilli finished with a light coronation sauce and served with baked ciabatta bread (gfo)
Port infused cranberry, walnut & brie arancini with a red pepper & almond romesco sauce and a balsamic rocket salad
All dishes are served with roast potatoes, glazed carrots, fine green beans and buttered sprouts
Traditional roast turkey crown served with chestnut and sage stuffing, pigs in blankets, parsnip crisps and pan roasted gravy (gfo)
Slow braised feather blade of beef in a Guinness & shallot sauce with aniseed infused red cabbage and creamed leeks(gfo)
Lamb, sweet potato & apricot tagine with a harissa spiced lamb cutlet served with herb braised broad beans and a chargrilled flatbread (gfo)
Pan fried fillet of sea bream served on a pumpkin & saffron gnocchi with steamed asparagus and lemon & dill buttered samphire
Porcini filled panzerotti pasta with butternut squash & wilted spinach in a brandy and garlic cream sauce garnished with vegetarian Parmesan crumbed portobella mushrooms (v)
Traditional luxury Christmas pudding with vanilla pod and brandy sauce
White chocolate & raspberry yule log with Chantilly cream and minted sugar dust (gf)
Cinnamon spiced Bramley apple & sultana crumble with Cheshire farm toffee ice cream (gfo)
Limoncello panna cotta with ginger short bread and blueberry compote (gfo)
A selection of cheese and biscuits served with celery, grapes, apple and a winter fruit chutney: Brie, Blacksticks blue stilton, Wensleydale & cranberry, and a spiced red chilli cheddar (gfo) (£2.50 supplement)
